GETTING RESULTS

A 2019 Survey of Clients

I like to keep a check on how well clients are doing that receive my services.  Here are the results.  Of those staying in counseling for at least six sessions, 100% said “yes” or “definitely, yes” that

  • counseling changed their lives for the better,

  • they are treated with respect, courtesy, and kindness,

  • David seemed warm, supportive, and concerned,

  • David seemed trustworthy,

  • David did a good job of listening,

  • David understood me and my problems,

  • I talked about the problems bothering me,

  • The techniques David used were helpful,

  • David’s approach made sense,

  • I learned new ways to deal with my problems,

  • David was open to discussion concerns or dissatisfaction about counseling,

  • I will refer friends/relatives that could benefit from counseling, and

  • problems changed as a result of counseling.

DR. ANDREW BERNARD

Trauma Surgeon

I knew David’s work was important to my patients but initially I didn’t realize how how much. David’s skill and professionalism positioned him to make a tremendous, lasting impact on each patient he saw, accomplishing advances in care that I could never have reached. I would send family to David.

DR. MARTHA WETTER

Clinical Psychologist and Former KPA President

Formal assessments are complex and I was skeptical when Dr. Maynard informed me this was part of his practice. However, after reading his reports, I became a believer in his ability and began referring to him; I commend him to you.

DR. AUDREY DARVILLE

Nurse Practitioner

Providing and receiving care for addictions can be challenging. The healthcare system often does not allow time for providers to work on removing barriers so clients can gain access to the care they need. Dr. Maynard is a respected colleague who DOES diligently dedicate his time and energy to reducing treatment barriers while providing exceptional care for his clients!

DR. MELINDA MOORE

Clinical Psychologist and Author of The Suicide Funeral (or Memorial Service)

Sometimes it is difficult to find other therapists who you trust enough to refer people with complex issues. After collaborating with Dr. Maynard on a training project and appreciating his training in rigorous evidenced-based treatment approaches, I do not hesitate to refer anyone to him.

When meeting a therapist for the first time all one has to go on is the person’s credentials.  Dr. Maynard was completing his Ph.D. when we met and was already practicing as an LPCC.  I was unaware of how his education would translate in a therapeutic setting.  It is now evident that Dr. Maynard’s warmth combines with his knowledge to help clients reach their therapeutic goals.
